Online Learning Continues

Thank you all for your work last week.  We understand that the testing and self-isolation made the weekend even more challenging.  However, we want to keep moving forward and online learning will continue. Below are expectations for students over the next week.

  • You will be working online for the next week. You are expected to complete work for Period 1 to 4 on your timetable each day.
  • Check your TEAM pages for each Period 1 to 4 class or subject each day. We know that many of you have to work at different times and are on shared devices during the day so we ask you to check in or message your teachers to show you have seen the work.
  • We recommend that you work in school hours only. Make time to get away from a computer screen. Take breaks. It is also important that you have time to help with your own families.
  • Always be respectful to others online. That includes your classmates – Raise your brothers up, Never put them down. It also includes your teachers – Don’t expect them to respond late at night.
  • With De La Salle College a place of interest students and teachers are not allowed to go into school. We are unable to distribute school laptops or materials at this time.
  • If you don’t have access to a laptop all the time there are curriculum teaching and learning resources (with guidance for parents) can be found online here for English-medium and Home Learning TV can be accessed on demand here or via the TVNZ App on a device (mobile phone, smart tv or tablet)
  • Your Homeroom Teacher will be making contact to check in during the week.

As always, your health and wellbeing is our priority. Parents can contact our student support network by emailing the following. Students can also continue to use Stymie to get help for someone www.stymie.co.nz
